Sedona is enveloped in spiritual vortexes (powerful and transformational energy centers). These vortexes are the intersections of natural electromagnetic earth energy and create different types of energy. Some can assist you with self-reflection, such as contemplative thinking and meditation. Others tend to be very energizing and are really great for getting the energy moving. They are perfect for forward movement, setting intentions and increasing your resolve, and they are comparable to drinking a double espresso. Balanced vortexes are a mix of the other two types and allow you to see things from a larger perspective and to gain clarity and a higher vision for your life. These vortexes bring not only spirituality with them, but also beauty. Often wherever there is a vortex you will see trees with twisted trunks and branches, spiraling in the energy field. In the prescence of a vortex you may experience subtle energy vibrations such as tingling in the hands or buzzing throughout your body, heating up or feeling a rush of energy or a shift in consciousness or perception. This is an amazing opportunity for spiritual awakening as every emotion is amplified and intensified in the prescence of a vortex.

What is a typical day?

We begin each adventure-filled Wild Soul Retreat day with a unique Nature Morning Meditation. Shortly following we will have a healthy breakfast to prepare us for the day's activities which will range from guided hiking to  transformational activities and time to relax or pamper yourself.

Wild Soul Retreats Tell me about the hiking?

We will be hiking so GET READY!! 

The guided hiking will be moderate.  In order to hike these trails you must be in good hiking condition.  The trails are in generally good condition but there may be increased mileage and moderate elevation gain.  

Do I have to participate in everything on the schedule?

You do not need to participate in everything; you can pace yourself so that it is the perfect amount of activity for you. We fully support you in doing as much or as little as is right for you in the moment. The schedule gives you a sense of the flow of each day. It is subject to change, depending upon the needs of the group, weather, etc. We will go over the schedule each day at breakfast.

What weather can I expect?

April in Sedona is warmer during the day, with temperatures in the low 60's to mid 70's. Evenings can get pretty cold, so we suggest bringing warm clothes for any nighttime nature activites that will be offered. For hiking specifically, you will need to have proper hiking attire, such as water wicking pants or shorts, hiking shoes, water and a hiking stick if you should need it for balance.  

What if I am coming alone?

The majority of the women who attend our retreats come by themselves. Although you may come alone, you will leave the retreat with new, lifelong friends!
