About The Event

What will we explore?

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona: We will explore the deep gorges and towering spires of the

Grand Canyon. At over 270 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and a mile deep, the Grand Canyon is known throughout the world for its overwhelming size and its intricate and colorful landscape. We will hike some of the popular trails the canyon has to offer, and experience its amazing views. We will see the layers of ancient rocks that are beautifully preserved and exposed in the walls of this majestic vista, revealing the history of the Earth.

The immense and colorful Grand Canyon is one of the Earth’s most powerful and inspiring scenic landscapes, giving us the opportunity to explore and experience its wild beauty and indulge in the endless breathtaking views. With its richly colored scenic vistas enhanced by a near-pristine natural setting the Grand Canyon inspires a variety of emotional, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual impressions. What is a typical day?

Wild Soul Retreats Tell me about the hiking?

We will be hiking so GET READY!!

While at the Grand Canyon we will be hiking some amazingly beautiful hikes. The distances will not necessarily be great on all of the trails, but the hiking maybe on steep up and down hills, or uneven terrain, sometimes with exposure to cliffs (safe but really impressive).

Do I have to participate in everything on the schedule?

You do not need to participate in everything; you can pace yourself so that it is the perfect amount of activity for you. We fully support you in doing as much or as little as is right for you in the moment. The schedule gives you a sense of the flow of each day. It is subject to change, depending upon the needs of the group, weather, etc. We will go over the schedule each day at breakfast.

What weather can I expect?

April in the Grand Canyon is typically nice, but the nights can get cold, with average temperatures in the 60's during the day and in the 20's at night. The temperatures can vary though with daytime temperatures anywhere from the mid 50's to low 80's and nightime temperatures from the upper teens to the 30's. We advise bringing warm clothing and some cooler clothing, so that you can dress accordingly to the weather.

What is the average age on this retreat?

We have a wide range of women who attend our retreats, from 15-70 years young. Each retreat will vary. Please contact us if you have questions about the ages on a specific retreat.

What if I am coming alone?

The majority of the women who attend our retreats come by themselves. Although you may come alone, you will leave the retreat with new, lifelong friends!
